With your heavy-duty projects in mind, from the denim to the canvas, the heavy-duty 4452 is designed. Thanks to its powerful engine, you are able to save time with extra high sewing speed. You can also sew very lightweight sheers with adjustable foot pressure, and the stainless steel bed plate makes it easier for materials to glide over the machine.
Create original costumes, sew personalized styles or convert new decorating pillows and curtains into your home. Of the 32 points is a one-step buttonhole, so you’ll be proud to say that you’ve yielded constant results for yourself every time.
Choose from various sewing stitches, decorative sewing and more single-step buttonholes in an easy step. Just place the button in the foot of the buttonhole, and the press sews a buttonhole that is perfectly sized to achieve consistent results.
Built-In Needle Threader
Easily thread the eye of the needle which eliminate strain on your eye, and saves you time.
Top Drop In Bobbin
Easy and visible to the thread! You can monitor your thread supply with the transparent bobbin and cover so that the thread is not running out in the middle of a seam.
Adjustable Stitch Width
The stitch size is adjustable from left to right, to narrow or wider the point stitch, as requested.
Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure
If you sew very lightweight or heavy fabrics, then increase or decrease the presser foot pressure to help the machine to feed the fabric through the machine.
Sew reverse stitches to secure a seam at first and at last in order to prevent unravelling.
Heavy Duty Metal Frame
The internal frame of the machine is metal, which provides long-lasting durability.
Stainless Steel Bed Plate
The surface of the arm of the machine is made of stainless steel, which provides a smooth surface to allow your textiles to glide easily when sewing.
The motor is 60% stronger than a standard sewing machine motor. It allows you to sew at the speeds up to 1100 stitches per minute.
Long-lasting LED lighting provides bright light and remains cool to the touch.
Remove your arm from the Removable Storage Compartment to sew trouser hems, sleeve cuffs and other smaller or tubular projects.
Your machine has a cover to help keep it free of dust if not in use.
Snap-On Presser Feet
For various sewing techniques, pressing feet can be easily removed and attached.
Extra High Presser Foot Lifter
The press foot is available to accommodate thick fabrics in an extra high position.
Variable Needle Positions
Adjust the needle position as you like for different sewing techniques such as topstitching, edge stitching, zipper application, piping insertion and more.
The Singer 4452 did not perform in our sewing rating metric by its standout, with the Scoring of 6 out of 10. We have compared the performance of each product on a wide range of stitches. Our results were the most evocative, based on the long straight stitch, the zigzag stitch, the shooting stitch, and attaching a shipper.
The machine worked well over the long straight pitch, except that our cotton test swatch it had a tendency to bunch up.
The machine struggled a lot on the zigzag stitch, making some of the lowest quality stitches in competition. This problem seemed to be rooted in the top thread tension being inconsistent, which alternated between being too loose or too tight and bunching up the material.
The quality of the scallop and zipper attachment stitch was good, excellent at easier to sew fabrics and difficult at harder ones.
Ease of Use
The Singer 4452 is a relatively simple machine and thus it scores all right. This machine got 6 out of 10, so a good score, but because it doesn’t have so many features it confuses you. The directions are simple though, but the mechanical selection system is at first confusing.
Ease of Setup
The Singer 4452 earned a 5 out of 10 on ease of set up that is surprisingly smaller than its twin. The machine works well at setting up and installing the bobbin and threading the machine. However, the automatic needle threader on the model we tested appeared to be much less effective than those of the comparable type, which even made us doubt whether it was broken or had a manufacturing defect. We couldn’t see any visible sign of any scenario and we struggled with threading the needle on this model.
The 4452 earned a 4 out of 10 when it was a matter of setting up a sewing machine for making a buttonhole, aligning the buttonhole in the right position, and actually making it. Since this is a mechanical machine, it will need a little more installation than the other machines, which will require you to drop a lever down and set it to act as a stop. This machine also does not automatically shut off, which can cause the thread being messed up on the last buttonhole bar if the sewer has a momentary lapse of attention.
You can’t expect that an all-metal machine is silent, but with proper care and lubrication, you can work on this machine without anyone having to shout when trying to talk to you.
A piece of equipment capable of sewing this quickly is certainly not for the faint of heart. Since Singer Heavy Duty Sewing machines sew up to 1100 stitches per minute at such high speeds, I do not recommend that children or beginners of any age do their sewing machines.
Best Suited For
These machines could be classified as “industrial,” meaning they are best suited for business. The weight, speed, and quality of the stitch are certainly sufficient for a tailor.
The main advantage of a mechanical sewing machine with all metals is that you can sew everything and everything. You don’t have to take him almost as often to a service provider.
You have the added economies of more affordable acquisition costs aside from the economic benefits of not having to take it into account for maintenance so often. Cost range from approx. $200 to $450 for Singer Heavy Duty sewing machines.
